New in Autodesk App Store: Plugin delivers BIM objects with LOD/LOG for Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD Architecture

Updated BIMcatalogs.net plugin powered by CADENAS available

New BIMcatalogs.net plugin powered by CADENAS available in Autodesk App Store.

The latest version of the BIMcatalogs.net plugin by CADENAS is now available for free in the Autodesk App Store. Architects and planners can now access original, manufacturer-verified 2D & 3D BIM and CAD models directly in Autodesk® Revit® 2021 and AutoCAD® Architecture and easily integrate them into their designs. The BIMcatalogs.net plugin has a consistent connection to the original manufacturer data, which ensures that the inserted products always remain up to date. If there are changes to the product information, they are automatically transferred to existing designs as well.

With the new version of the BIMcatalogs.net plugin, different components are now also linked together in an assembly family, so-called "nested families". This way, additional parts are also integrated directly into the CAD system and listed in the respective parts lists but can also be viewed separately if needed.

Direct access to BIM objects with LOD or LOG in the BIM planning system

In addition to Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD Architecture, the BIMcatalogs.net plugin is also seamlessly integrated into the CAD systems ARCHICAD, ALLPLAN, SketchUp, Vectorworks, BricsCAD and Tekla and can be downloaded free of charge for the latter CAD systems at www.bimcatalogs.net/cadapp. In all six CAD systems, architects and planners can search for, select and configure available BIM objects directly in their familiar software environment. A large part of the BIM data supports different Levels of Development (LOD) or Levels of Geometry (LOG), which allows users to easily switch between different LODs / LOGs during the planning process.
